Hal Daume ’63, managing partner of Inter-National Consulting Group LLC, has been awarded the Kashafa Service Award by the Victory Base Council, a Scouting group based in Baghdad, Iraq. The award is presented to individuals “for outstanding performance and lasting contribution to Iraqi Scouts.” Daume, who earned the rank of Eagle Scout as a teen, is a 35-year veteran volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America. For the past nine years, he has written an online advice column, “Ask Andy,” which covers all Scouting subjects. The column receives 100,000-plus hits monthly.

The Rev. Gabriel B. Costa ’70, M.S. ’72, Ph.D. ’84, recently co-authored Practicing Sabermetrics: Putting the Science of Baseball Statistics to Work with Michael R. Huber and John T.
